Officers Arrest Felon After Shots in Belltown

Officers arrested a felon early Tuesday after he was spotted firing a gun in Belltown.

A witness reported hearing a gunshot shortly before 1:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Bell Street. When he looked out the window, he saw the suspect pull out a gun as he approached another man in the alley and fire one shot in the air. The suspect then put the gun in his pants and walked away.

Responding officers tracked the suspect down near 4th Avenue and Wall Street, discovered he’s a felon and arrested him. They found a small 9mm semi-automatic pistol in his pants.

The suspect was booked into King County Jail for being a felon in possession of a firearm as well as discharging a firearm in the city.
