UPDATED: Police Seek Missing Firefighter

Seattle police are working to locate a missing Seattle Firefighter after he did not arrive for a scheduled work shift Thursday evening.

Colleagues of Joshua Ryan Milton, 36, contacted police when he did not arrive for his 5:30 PM shift as a paramedic student at Harborview Medical Center. Police have attempted to locate Firefighter Milton and contact him by phone, but have been unsuccessful. At this time, police have no indication Firefighter Milton is the victim of a crime, but are concerned for his safety.

Milton was last seen near Harborview at approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday. He is reported to have been driving a white 2000 Honda Accord with four doors, license plate number ABR2611.

The Seattle Police Department is actively investigating this as a missing person case and encourages anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Firefighter Milton to contact Seattle Police.

Firefighter Milton joined the Seattle Fire Department in 2012, and was recently accepted into the paramedic program. He is 36- years old and his father is a Lieutenant with the Seattle Fire Department. Firefighter Milton is married with a three-year-old son.

Update:

Parks employees located Josh Milton’s Honda Accord at the Deception Pass parking lot around 8:30 this morning. Washington State Patrol responded and verified that this was in fact Josh Milton’s car.

There is still no sign of Josh. Search and rescue efforts are underway. We will post more information once it’s available.
