Three Arrested Following Shots Fired from a Car in South Seattle

This information is preliminary and subject to change.

Three men are now in custody and a fourth is being sought following an incident at Rainier Avenue South and South Genesee Street shortly before 7:00 pm Sunday evening.

Just before 7:00 pm, 911 received several calls of shots being fired from a vehicle at that location.  One caller was able to provide a description of the vehicle and a license plate number.  Officers responded to both that location and likely routes the suspect vehicle might be travelling.  Officers located the suspect vehicle, a dark colored Impala,  and a brief pursuit occurred.  The occupants of the Impala drove to 40th Avenue South and South Burns Street where they all ran from the car.  Three of the suspects were caught by officers and detained.  A fourth suspect is still outstanding and a K-9 team is enroute to the scene.

There do not appear to be any injuries from the earlier shots fired at Rainier and Genesee.  This is an active and on going investigation.
