Woman Struck in Shoulder in Overnight South Park Shooting

A 19-year-old woman is recovering from a gunshot wound to her shoulder following a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours in South Park.  The injury is not life-threatening.

Just after 1:00 am Sunday morning patrol officers and Gang detectives responded to a report of a shooting in the 1000 block of South Donovan Street.  Officers arrived and located the injured victim outside of a residence.  Seattle Fire transported her to Harborview for treatment.

The victim told investigators that she had just arrived at the house to visit friends when she was shot by an unknown suspect.  The small group of people at the residence did not provide any additional information.

Patrol officers and detectives have increased emphasis in the neighborhood.
