Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) are investigating an early morning fatal car/bicycle collision on Seaview Avenue NW.
At approximately 4:30 am Sunday, officers responded to reports of a collision between a car and a man on a bicycle in the 7000 block of Seaview Avenue NW. Seattle Fire also responded, and despite their efforts, the bicyclist was declared deceased at the scene.
As is routine, officers evaluated the driver at the scene for any signs of impairment. None were detected. The driver was interviewed and released at the scene.
This remains an active and on-going TCIS investigation.
