SPD Safe Place continues to be a national model. The Baltimore Police Department this week launched their own Safe Place program inspired by Seattle.


SPD Analytics Program Measures Up

Information Management magazine published an article touting SPD’s Data Driven Section.

“The data is unprecedented in policing — all the information we gather about our Terry stops, frisks, crisis intervention and use of force, including officer-involved shootings—we put it out publicly,’’ Maxey says.


K-9 Happy Hour

  • South:  Sunday, August 12th, 1pm – 4pm @ Columbia Park, 4721 Rainier Ave S
  • West:  Thursday, August 16th, 4pm – 7pm @ Hing Hay Park, 423 Maynard Ave S
  • North:  Saturday, August 18th, 1pm – 4pm @ SPD North Precinct, 10049 College Way N
  • East:  Saturday, August 25th, 1pm – 4pm @ SPD East Precinct, 1519 12th Ave
