On Wednesday, 09/24/08 at approximately 7:00 PM North Precinct Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 9700 block of 5th Ave NE., with a man down. Patrol units arrived and conducted a threat assessment and secured the scene. One adult male was located face down deceased at the scene. Arriving officers contacted the suspect and placed him into custody. At least two shots were fired fatally wounding one suspect while the other two suspects fled in a vehicle. The vehicle and outstanding suspects were not located. The suspect (shooter) was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Murder. This is an open and active investigation.
