On September 27th at 1206 AM, off-duty officers working outside of a nightclub in the 100 block of Taylor Avenue N heard several gunshots from the parking lot to the south of the club. Several units responded and were able to interview a number of witnesses who reported that two vehicles, had exchanged gunfire, and that both had fled the scene. Officers located 9 – 9mm shell casings and one damaged slug on the ground in the lot.
While securing the scene, an officer saw a vehicle matching the description of one of the cars. Once there were sufficient units at the location, a high risk stop was initiated and the two occupants were taken into custody. Subsequently, two 9mm handguns were recovered from the vehicle. The other car was not located so it is unknown if there were any victims from this shooting.
