On October 12th, West Precinct Anti-Crime Team officers were looking for a domestic violence warrant suspect. The officers went to the 2200 Block of 1st Avenue in an attempt to locate and arrest the suspect on a Seattle Municipal Court $10,000 D.V. warrant. When the officers knocked on his door, the suspect climbed out his back window and up onto the roof of the building. When found on the roof, the suspect fought with three of the ACT Officers. During the struggle, the suspect repeatedly kicked at the officers and threatened to stab them with his knife. When he was finally taken into custody and escorted out of the building, several other tenants congratulated the officers for arresting the suspect. They told the officers that this suspect beat his girlfriend every night.
