On October 25th around 12:42 A.M., West Precinct Anti-Crime Team (ACT) officers were flagged down by a victim in the 500 Block of Mercer St. The victim appeared to be in shock and bleeding from the mouth. The victim stated he was assaulted and robbed by a group of juvenile males. As the officers were interviewing this victim, officers saw another victim being beaten and kicked by a group of youths. Officers activated their dash lights and the suspects fled on foot. Two suspects were taken into custody. The witnesses were able to identify the suspects as their attackers. One of the victims had to be transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the robbery. The two suspects were booked into the Youth Services Center.
