Prolific graffiti suspect arrested

On November 16th at 1 AM, East Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of vandalism in progress.  Officers quickly arrived, located the suspect and arrested him.  The suspect was using the tag “Kerse”, which belonged to a recently deceased graffiti “artist”.  The suspect was using the tag in an apparent attempt to memorialize the decedent. 
 
The suspect tagged multiple buildings, including several car dealerships, and several businesses in the areas of 700 East Pike, 700 East Pine and 900 East Pike street.   
 
The suspect, a 20-year-old Seattle man, was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Malicious Mischief.
