On 1/27/09, at 1:13 a.m., a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Beacon Ave S. at approximately the 4600 block. The Honda crossed into the northbound lane and then drove onto the landscape median while attempting to return to the southbound lanes. Once the Honda struck the median, the vehicle flipped over and ejected the driver. Seattle Fire Medics responded and treated the driver on scene, he was transported to HMC for serious injuries that he sustained form the collision. Seattle Fire Medics determined that the driver had life threatening injuries. Traffic Collision Investigators responded to the scene. While at HMC, a mandatory blood draw was administered to determine the driver’s level of intoxication. The investigation continues.
