On April 5 at approximately 11:00 p.m. officers responded to the Metro bus stop in the 7800 block of Rainier Avenue South to investigate an armed robbery of two citizens. The victims were at the bus stop when they were approached by two male suspects wearing black with bandanas around their faces. Both suspects displayed small, black handguns and subsequently stole the victim’s backpacks and cell phones. The suspects fled the scene on foot. The victims called the police after a 10-15 minute delay. A thorough area search for the suspects was conducted, but the suspects remain at large. Some of the victims’ property was recovered by officers later in the 5100 block of South Kenyon Street.
