Prolific “Dry Wall” burglars arrested

During the course of  a burglary investigation to the West Seattle Senior Center, where a substantial amount of cash, and gift cards were taken from the center, Seattle Police detectives circulated screen shots of the suspects to the local media.

An alert Marysville Police detective saw the coverage and recognized the suspects.  He was aware that several jurisdictions, were actively investigating the suspect and a ring of associates for over 130 burglaries that covered 26 jurisdictions in the greater Puget Sound area.

Based on information revealed through countless hours of investigation by a task force of officers and detectives, and through excellent cooperation between the involved jurisdictions, they were able to secure a search warrant for the core suspects. The group served a search warrant on Sunday, April 19th, in Snohomish County, and recovered evidence from the location and arrested three suspects.

This multi-jurisdictional effort; especially those in Lake Stevens, Arlington, Marysville,  Snohomish County Sheriff’s office, and Seattle will have regional implications in reducing or possibly even eliminating a substantial pattern.

The arrest of the “Dry Wall Bandits” should solve at least 10 cases for Seattle Police.

The three suspects arrested last sunday were all booked into Snohomish County jail for Investigation of Burglary.
