On April 29th at 7:30 a.m., South Precinct patrol officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 9800 block of 57th Avenue S.
The complainant and her 10-year-old daughter reported that they were leaving the house, daughter to catch the bus and mom to drive to work, when a man drove by and contacted the 10-year-old. The man asked the girl if she had seen his missing pet. When he saw her mother in the driveway, he sped off. Officers conducted a search of the area for this person and his car, but he was not located. Because of the nature of the circumstances, parents should be reminded to take the opportunity to speak to their young children about talking to strangers.
The person in question is a man in his 30’s with olive skin tone and a black jacket. He was driving a white newer model Toyota Rav 4.
