On June 9th, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to a call of an individual lighting debris on fire near a business on the southwest corner of North 125th Street and Stone Avenue North. Upon arrival, the officers found a 30 foot by 30 foot area of grass and brush on fire. The Seattle Fire Department quickly responded and extinguished the flames.
Witnesses told officers that they had followed the suspect from the scene to the 12500 Block of Aurora Avenue North. The officers located the hiding suspect and he was taken into custody. The suspect, a 59-year old male, was booked into the King County Jail for Reckless Burning.
