On 07/10/09, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to shots fired in the 8100 block of 48th Ave S. Several witnesses called and one added that an armed suspect ran into a house in the 8100 block of 48th Ave S. The other party left in a vehicle NB on 48th Ave S. South Precinct Officers contained the house and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and found one that saw the whole episode and identified the shooter as someone who lived at a house in the 8100 block of 48th Ave S. Officers already had this person detained along with a handgun recovered from the house.
While this was happening officers were also dispatched to the 7900 block of 45th Ave S. to investigate a car with gunfire damage. Officers arrived and found a car with several bullet holes, including one through the front windshield.
Both involved vehicles were impounded to the processing room.
One adult male suspect was arrested and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Violation of Uniform Firearms Act.
