On September 16th, at approximately 8:30 p.m., East Precinct officers saw a known person with multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest standing on the porch of a house in the 900 block of 27th Avenue. Officers had attempted to contact this individual earlier in the day, but he fled from officers. At the time he fled from officers, it was believed that he may have been armed with a handgun. Officers drove by the residence in the 900 Block of 27th Avenue and the suspect left the porch and ran inside the house. Concerned that the suspect may still have been armed, officers contained the house and called for additional officers. Officers were able to make contact with several children and elderly people inside the house, and direct them to leave the residence safely, leaving only the suspect inside. After extended negoitations the suspect finally gave himself up and was taken into custody. The 18-year old man was later booked into King County Jail on his outstanding felony warrants.
