On September 18th, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Seattle Police officers responded to an assault call in the 9600 Block of Roosevelt Way NE. A male had been assaulted and cut with a knife by his roommate. There were other roommates also inside the house. The suspect, a 27-year old male, had retreated to his room and refused to come out. The other roommates and the victim were able to leave the house, and the victim was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries to his hands. The suspect refused to comply with officers and would not come out of the house. SWAT and negotiators responded to the scene. At approximately 10:20 a.m., the suspect surrendered himself to SWAT and was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
