On September 20th, at approximately 12:45 a.m., North Precinct  officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2100 Block of NE 88th Street that someone was  screaming for assistance, saying he was robbed. Upon arrival it was discovered that he was the victim of a home invasion robbery. The victim had been pistol-whipped. He gave a description of the suspects and the car they left in as well as what had been taken.

A short time later, an officer,  enroute to a call at Greenwood Avenue North  and North 145th Street,  spotted the suspect vehicle. He followed the car until back up units arrived , they had now driven  into Shoreline, where they pulled into an apartment complex parking lot.  Three of the five suspects ran on foot, the driver stayed with the car and one other suspect stopped as he was exiting the car. Containment was set up, K-9 units arrived and with the assistance of the King County Sheriff’s Guardian One helicopter, all suspects where taken into custody.  Two handguns were recovered from the suspect’s car, as well as the victim’s stolen property.  SPD Robbery detectives responded to the scene and will be responsible for the follow up investigation.
