The Seattle Police Employee’s Charity Fund raises money each year through payroll deduction. The money is donated to various local charities and non-profit groups, from food banks to homeless shelters to an organization dedicated to families of officers killed in the line of duty. This year, Seattle Police sworn and civilian employees have raised $63,000 for charity. Starting December 1st, 45 checks will be delivered by uniformed officers. This process will continue through Friday, December 11th.
