On December 31st, at approximately 1:50 am, a 25-year old man was waiting in the bus shelter at Rainier Avenue South and South Myrtle Street. He was approached by three males who began assaulting the man by hitting him in the head and face. His wallet containing cash was then taken by the suspects. The victim was able to call 911. One of the suspects was stopped by police at Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street, where he was positively idenitified as being involved. The other two suspects fled the scene. Two possible suspects were stopped and detained by officers at Rainier Avenue South and South Henderson Street, but they could not be positively idenitifed as being involved. They were interviewed and released at the scene. The wallet was not recovered. The 31-year old man arrested was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
