On January 10th at 4:13 a.m. officers responded to a 911 call reporting a group of suspicious subjects on the property of an unoccupied house for sale in the 9300 block of 53rd Avenue South.
Multiple officers responded and found at least three suspects outside the house who fled on foot when police approached. Additional suspects were detained outside the home. Officers discovered an open window on the side of the house and proceeded to search the inside of the home. Inside the officers discovered three more suspects.
Investigation indicated that none of the suspects knew the owner of the house or had permission to be on the property.
All five suspects (three adults and two juveniles) were taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into jail. Four of the suspects were booked for Investigation of Burglary and one suspect was booked for Criminal Trespass.
