On January 26th, at approximately 2:15 pm, a motorcycle was travelling eastbound on NE Northgate Way approaching 11th Avenue NE. A truck was stopped facing northbound at a stop sign on 11th Avenue NE. The truck then proceeded across the intersection to make a left turn (westbound) on Northgate Way. The motorcycle struck the left side of the truck. Seattle Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center for serious injuries from the collision. The driver of the truck was screen for any sign of impairment, but none were found. He was interviewed and released at the scene. Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded to the scene and will continue with this investigation.
