On 3/19/10, at approximately 8:00 a.m. , officers responded to NE 45th and 36 av NE to a reported vehicle vs pedestrian collision. Preliminary information indicates that a vehicle was traveling eastbound on NE 45th Street in the southernmost lane of travel.
The pedestrian was standing on the southeast corner of the intersection at 36th Ave NE. At some point, the pedestrian stepped out into the marked crosswalk and was struck by the vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers administered the pedestrian CPR. Seattle Fire responded and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with lifer threatening injuries.
Traffic Collision Investigators responded and processed the scene. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.
