On 3/25/10, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 12000 block of 30 Av NE to investigate a vehicle collision involving a dark blue SUV.
A witness said he saw the vehicle drive into the front counter of the building. The driver got out and said that he hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
This witness was standing in line waiting to order when he turned and saw the vehicle driving towards him. The witness jumped out of the way, injuring his knee as he did so. Seattle Fire responded and treated him on scene. He was not transported.
Officers contacted the driver and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the North Precinct and processed for DUI and later released. He was not injuried in the collision.
