2 car collision with injuries on Rainier Avenue South

On April 8th, at approximately 12:13  AM, South Precinct officers responded to the 9600 Block of Rainier Avenue South on a report of a 2 car injury collision.  A car was travelling southbound on Rainier Avenue South, spun and crossed the center line, and was then struck (t-boned) by a truck travelling northbound on Rainier.  The driver of the truck, a 40 year old male, was transported to the hospital for soreness/stiffness to his back and neck.  The driver of the car, a 35 year old male,  had to be removed from his vehicle by the Seattle Fire Department and was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.  Patrol officers had the 9600 Block of Rainier Avenue South closed during the investigation, but the roadway is now open.  This is an on going investigation.
