On August 3rd at approximately 10:00 p.m. Seattle Police Vice Squad detectives developed information during the course of their investigation regarding a 16-year-old runaway victim of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking. Unbeknownst to the victim, detectives posing as customers contacted the victim regarding a prostitution arrangement and subsequently recovered her, as well as two adult females. Upon further investigation, it was determined that one of the recovered females, a 25-year-old woman from Everett, was complicit in the promotion and exploitation of the 16-year-old victim. The adult female suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Promoting the Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
Further investigation indicated that two male suspects were at an apartment in Everett. Seattle Police contacted Everett Police, who responded to the location in question and arrested the two suspects, both 30-year-old males from the Seattle area. Both male suspects were booked into the King County Jail for Promoting the Commercial Sexual Abuse of a Minor.
Seattle Police Vice detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspects’ apartment in Everett and obtained additional evidence as a result of the search. Everett Police Officers assisted SPD by securing the apartment and thus protecting evidence in anticipation of the search warrant being served.
