On Friday, July 30th, during a special halftime ceremony, the Seattle Storm organization honored a group of local inspirational women.  This was the fifth year for “Women of Inspiration Night,” an annual opportunity for Storm players and fans to thank those who have had an important influence on making our community strong.  It was also a chance to shine the limelight on some who are rarely noticed for their work but have had a profound positive impact on those they have touched.  Among this year’s honorees was Seattle Police Detective Kim Bogucki, for her work on the IF Project.

Along with Det. Bogucki, King County Sheriff Sue Rahr and Marilyn Smith, Executive Director/Founder of the Abused Deaf Woman’s Advocacy Services (ADWAS) were also honored.
