On August 19th, at approximately 2:00 AM, a woman and her friends were standing on the sidewalk in front of a business in the 100 Block of Blanchard Street. A man, completely unknown to the victim or her friends, walked over to the woman and struck her on the top of her head with a closed fist. The suspect then walked away. Officers arrived quickly, and the suspect was located and arrested. The victim declined medical attention. It is unknown what prompted the assault. The 27 year old male was later booked into the King County Jail for assault.
