On September 23rd, at approximately 1:50 AM, a homeowner in the 3800 Block of 25th Avenue West heard noise outside of her house. Her dog began to bark. She thought it might be her roommate coming home early from work. She called her roommate only to discover that the roommate was still at work. The victim then took her dog into her room and called 911. The suspect attempted to open a back window but could not get it open. While the victim was on the phone with 911 she heard the back door being rattled, then the sound of breaking glass. West Precinct officers quickly responded and located the suspect next to a broken window looking inside. The 36 year old male suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary. The homeowner was not injured. West Precinct Burglary detectives are conducting the follow up investigation.
