On 10/5/10, at approximately 8:52 a.m., a marked SPD Patrol car was responding with lights and siren, to a burglary in progress, in the 1900 block of 10th Av W.
A gray Honda, driven by a 27-year-old female was traveling in front of the patrol unit. As the patrol unit moved to the left into the southbound lane to go around the non-yielding Honda, the Honda attempted to turned left, into the path of the patrol vehicle. The two vehicles made contact.
The officer was transported to Harborview medical center for treatment.
The driver of the Honda was not injured and was interviewed and released at the scene pending further investigation.
