On October 10th, at approximately 7:30 PM, South Precinct officers responded to a call of a robbery at a motel in the 7000 Block of East Marginal Way. Officers arrived and contacted the manager. The employee stated that a suspect had argued with the manager, then broken a window to the front office and then taken cash from the drawer. The suspect then fled on foot. Officers contacted a female at the motel who provided them with information on the possible suspect. Officers were able to search jail databases to obtain photos of the suspect. The officers then contacted other hotels in the area, where they located the suspect at a hotel in the SODO district. The suspect was arrested and a warrant was obtained to search the room. Money from the robbery was recovered. The 34 year old suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
