On 10/24/10, at approximately 2:08 a.m., a the Restaurant/Lounge in the 6900 block of MLK Wy had just closed up and the victim was leaving. He stated that as he was walking away from the business crossing the street when he was shot.
Officers in the area heard one shot and shortly after that the call came out. The victim ran back to the restaurant where he was contacted. Seattle Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his butt.
The Gang unit responded but there was no scene and the victim was not talking. While conducting an area check officers located a car around the corner from the restaurant. The vehicle was running and a male was behind the wheel.
Officers checked on the man and discovered that he had a loaded revolver on his person. He was not authorized to carry the handgun and was arrested and booked into King County Jail for the weapon’s violation.
