Ofc. Brenton Leschi Community Memorial dedication this Sunday

This Sunday afternoon, October 31st, there will be a public dedication of a memorial to Officer Timothy Brenton at 29th Avenue  and East Yesler Way.  This is the location where Officer Brenton was killed exactly one year ago to the day.  The idea for the permanant memorial at this location was an idea from the Leschi community as a way to commemorate the life and honor the sacrifice of Officer Brenton.

The public dedication ceremony will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday at that location.  Some of the streets immediately surrounding the dedication will be closed, but there will be limited parking at the Leschi Elementary School parking lots at 31st Avenue and East Yesler Way.

The dedication is expected to last approximately 30 minutes, with several speakers scheduled to make remarks.   The Seattle Police Department is honored and extremely humbled by the outpouring of support by the Leschi community.
