On November 9th, at 6:05 AM, South Precinct officers responded to a report of a collision between a Metro bus and a car in the intersection of Renton Avenue South and South Henderson Street. There was only one passenger on board the bus at the time of the collision, and neither the transit operator or the passenger sustained any injuries. The driver of the passenger car, a 69 year old female, had to be extricated from her car by the Seattle Fire Department and was transported to Harborview Medical Center via Medics with life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad responded to the scene and began their investigation. The intersection is expected to be closed to traffic for several hours while the investigation continues.
