Officer gives life-saving aid to unresponsive woman

On November 11th, at approximately 10:00 PM, a West Precinct patrol officer was on routine patrol in the 400 Block of 7th Avenue South.  A citizen ran  up to the patrol car and informed the officer about an unconscious woman lying on the sidewalk.  The citizen stated that the woman was unresponsive.  The officer immediately notified radio and requested the Seattle Fire Department.  She then checked on the woman and was unable to find a pulse.  Another officer arrived at the scene.  He brought his Automatic External Difibrillator (AED) and applied it to the woman.  The AED advised “No Shock.”  The primary officer then began CPR and this seemed to revive the woman.  Seattle Fire arrived at that time and assumed care for the victim.  She was then transported to Harborview Medical Center.
