On December 7th at approximately 5:12 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call of an adult female victim who was assaulted in Colman Park. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the 44-year-old victim near Lake Washington Boulevard South and Lake Park Drive South. Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was jogging through the park when an unknown suspect came from behind her and grabbed her clothing. After being grabbed the victim fell to the ground. The victim landed on her back and the suspect got on top of her. The victim kicked and screamed and eventually broke free of the suspect and ran off.
The victim sustained a bloody nose and scratches during the course of the physical altercation. SFD medics responded to the scene and treated the victim. She declined further medical attention and was released from the scene.
An area search for the suspect was conducted however, the suspect was not located and remains at large. The suspect is described as a black male, 20’s to 30’s, approximately 5’8″ tall, 170 pounds, clean shaven and carrying a bag.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.
