On February 1st, at approximately 11:30 PM, North Precinct officers responded to Ballard Swedish Hospital on a report of a stabbing victim that had just walked into the Emergency Room. Apparently, the 23 year old male victim was with a group of friends in a car when he had an encounter with the driver of another car near NW 65th Street and 15th Avenue NW. The car the victim was riding in was stopped and another car pulled up next to it. The victim, seated in the backseat, rolled down the window, as did the driver of the other car. They began yelling at each other, and both got out of their cars. The victim and the suspect began fighting in the street and then both got back into their cars. The victim realized that he had been stabbed and he was driven to Ballard Swedish Hospital. The victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries. It appears that the victim will recover from his injury. Officers interviewed all of the friends and witnesses available. Friends of the victim did not provide a lot of information, but it was later determined that the victim and suspect may have known each other and that this was part of an ongoing feud. Officers conducted an area search but did not locate the suspect. The case has been forwarded to detectives for follow up investigation.
