On February 7th, at approximately 3:05 AM, South Precinct officers responded to a call of a vehicle that had struck at least six cars parked in the 6500 Block of Rainier Avenue South. Officers arrived and located the driver in his vehicle. He was arrested at the scene and processed for driving while under the influence. All told, including the suspect’s car, there was damage to seven cars. The driver was cited for DUI. There were no injuries. Rainier Avenue was closed briefly while officers conducted their investigation, but the roadway is now back open.
