On May 8th, at approximately 12:50 AM, three friends were hanging out together in the 1800 Block of Minor Avenue. A white Cadillac drove by erractically, with three suspects aboard. The way the car was being driven caused the victims to point and laugh at it. The occupants of the car somehow heard the victims laughing. The driver of the car stopped and backed up to the victim’s location. The occupants of the car all got out and confronted the group standing on the street. The driver threatened to shoot the victims and placed his hands in his pockets. The group yelled back at the suspects that they had their license plate number. The suspects got back into the car and drove off. One of the victims called 911 to report the incident. East Precinct officers responded immediately. Approximately ten minutes later, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle at 10th Avenue and East Pike Street. A high risk vehicle stopped was conducted and the three suspects were arrested. An unloaded handgun was located in the possession of the front seat passenger. A BB gun was also recovered from next to the driver’s seat. The victims and witnesses were brought to the scene where they positively identified the suspects. The suspect car was impounded for follow up detectives. The suspects were then transported to the East Precinct. After further investigation, the 19 year old male suspect was booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Harrassment. The 15 year old male suspect was booked into the Youth Services Center for Investigation of Harrassment and VUFA (gun charge). The third suspect, a 17 year old male, was interviewed and released from the precinct. Detectives will handle the follow up investigation.
