Pair of robbers caught

On March 6th, at 8:45 p.m., a male and female confronted the store clerk at store in the 2500 block of Beacon Avenue S.  The female pepper sprayed the clerk in the face and the male unplugged and grabbed the cash register. Both then fled the store. Officers responded to the call, but were unable to locate the suspects. Great police work by detectives lead to two possible suspects. Photos of the two suspects were distributed department wide in a bulletin and information developed from this led to the identity of the two suspects.  Several addresses were checked and both suspects were featured on Washington’s Most Wanted, but neither could be located.

On June 7th, the male suspect was arrested in a robbery/burglary from the Pike Place Market.  It was also learned that the female suspect had been arrested the same day on an outstanding warrant. Both suspects were interviewed by Robbery detectives. The suspects, a 31-year-old female and 23-year-old male, were re-booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
