Observant officer makes drug arrest

On June 18th, just after 8:00 PM, an East Precinct officer was on patrol near 10th Avenue and Pine Street when he observed two known narcotics users.  The officer watched them for some time and noted that they went to speak to a woman sitting in a car in a parking lot.  The officer watched as the two people engaged in a hand-to-hand transaction with the woman in the car.  He then contacted the three individuals.  One of the individuals had a warrant for his arrest.

More significantly, the officer spoke to the woman in the car who agreed to a consent search of her vehicle.  The officer recovered over 17 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 15 grams of heroin, 1 gram of powder cocaine, and a small amount of crack cocaine.  The 43 year old female was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for drug charges.
