Patrol Officers revive unresponsive victim

On June 21st at approximately 4:12 p.m. uniformed patrol officers responded to a residence in the 12500 block of 20th Avenue NE in response to a 911 call from a roommate reporting that an adult male had attempted suicide by overdose and was unresponsive.  Officers arrived on scene in under four minutes and found the subject to have no pulse nor respiration.

The officers quickly began CPR on the subject while calling for SFD and ensuring a rapid ingress for paramedics.  The officers were able to evoke a faint pulse and shallow breathing from the victim as paramedics arrived on scene.

SFD medics then took over and brought the victim back to consciousness.  He was ultimately stabilized and transported to Harborview Medical Center with a full recovery anticipated at this time.

This is a life saved by two excellent and compassionate officers!
