Hit & Run car/motorcycle collision

On July 8th at approximately 12:54 p.m. officers responded to a report of a hit and run collision between a car and a motorcycle.  Preliminary investigation indicates that a female driver in her 20’s (the suspect) was traveling southbound in the left turn lane on East Frontage Road South approaching South Royal Brougham Way.  At the same time, a black 1985 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling northbound on East Frontage Road South approaching South Royal Brougham Way.  For reasons yet to be determined, the motorcyle and the suspect vehicle collided in the intersection.

Witnesses reported that the suspect driver paused briefly, backed her vehicle up, then fled eastbound on South Royal Brougham Way, then southbound on 1st Avenue South.  The suspect vehicle was described as a white 4-door car.

SFD medics responded to the scene and transported the 28-year-old motorcyclist to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The involved intersection at East Frontage Road South and South Royal Brougham Way remained open during the investigation with the exception of westbound South Royal Brougham Way from 1st Ave South to East Frontage Road South and the northbound lane to the Alaskan Way Viaduct.

Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.
