On Saturday, July 16th, the Seattle Police Department held its second One-Day Community Police Academy. Community members listened to presentations on constitutional law, patrol operations and procedures and the Seattle Police Officer’s Guild, followed by a questions and answer period with Guild President Sgt. Rich O’Neill.
The afternoon was spent at the Seattle Police Department Range where participants enjoyed a presentation about the Arson/Bomb Squad and participated in “shoot/don’t shoot” scenarios in the firearms simulator. It was a great event!
