Robbery suspect arrested in North Seattle

On July 23rd, the victim was at his work garage in the 10000 Block of Lake City Way NE when a known friend and his brother (suspect)  stopped by to visit.  Suddenly, without warning, the suspect attacked the victim, punching him in the face with his fists and a small flashlight.  The suspect knocked the victim to the ground and threatened him with a rubber mallet.  He then took the victim’s wallet.  The victim was treated at the scene by Seattle Fire and then transported to an area hospital with severe bruising and swelling to his face.

The victim was later able to view photographs and pick out the suspect.

On July 29th, Robbery detectives issued a wanted bulletin for the 22 year old suspect.  At 9:45 PM that evening, a North Precinct officer observed both the suspect and his brother walking near 8th Avenue NE and NE Northgate Way.  The officer called for additional units and then she took the suspect into custody.  The suspect and his brother were transported to the Robbery Unit office where they were both interviewed by detectives.  The 22 year old suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
