Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects pictured above who Assaulted and Robbed of a 68-year-old Belltown man

Just after midnight on August 3rd, officers responded to a report of a man who had been assaulted and possibly robbed in the 300 block of Cedar Street.  Officers arrived on scene and located a 68-year-old male victim lying on the ground, semi-conscious, bleeding from the head.  SFD medics were called to the scene and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

A witness observed the victim lying on the ground and there were five black males standing around the victim.  The witness saw one of the suspects stomp on the victim’s head and then reach into the victim’s back pocket to remove his wallet.  The witness ran to the victim’s aid, scaring off the attackers.

The suspects are all described as black males, approximately 5’8″ to 6 feet tall with medium builds and possibly in their late teens to early twenties.   The main suspect, who was seen kicking the victim in the head, was described as wearing a blue and yellow striped polo-type shirt and denim shorts.   The suspects were last seen running northbound on 4th Avenue.

Officers conducted an extensive area search however, the suspects remain at large.  Robbery detectives are actively investigating.
