On August 6th at approximately 3:07 a.m. a King County Metro unit was driving by 3rd Avenue and Battery Street and saw a male victim fall to the ground and then watched as a female suspect kicked the victim in the head several times. The female suspect was detained while two additional subjects ran from the scene. SPD officers and SFD medics responded and the victim was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center.
It is unknown at this time if the two additional subjects seen running from the scene were involved in the assault or possible robbery of the victim.
The female suspect was booked into the King County Jail. This incident remains under active investigation.
