Shooting in South Seattle

On  8/13/11, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers responded to the 8100 Block of Rainier Ave S to a reported shooting. Prior to the shooting, a group of young men from the Central District came to the South End to visit friends. South end suspects took issue with the presence of these people which eventually led to a disturbance. The disturbance escalated until both parties began shooting at each other. As half of the group attempted to leave the area in a vehicle the car was stopped by patrol officers and the suspects were taken into custody.

A pistol was recovered from one of the suspects and another pistol was located in the car. No one was injured during the incident. The Gang Unit responded to assisted with interviews and in processing the scene.

3 suspects arrested and booked into King County Jail for Weapons violations. 2 guns recovered and one vehicle impounded
